Little did I realise, back in March, that I would have to take a break from jewellery-making and focus instead on home-schooling my daughters. Home school then led into six weeks of summer holiday and it is only now, as the leaves turn and the nights start to draw in, that I am able to reflect, take stock and get back to the jewellery bench.
Clearly the past few months have been very tough for a lot of people. The hardest adjustment for me, along with separation from family and friends, was the sudden lack of any time for myself. I will no longer take for granted time spent at my jewellery bench with only BBC Sounds and my little dog for company.
This Autumn, along with designing and making my new jewellery collections, I will ensure that all new pieces are featured on my website. Until now, the website has mainly served to advertise my jewellery but it will now be central to the way I run the business. With the current restrictions, I haven’t booked any shows but I will be taking part in an exhibition in a pop-up gallery in Brighton in late November/ early December. ‘Four @40’ will run from Tuesday 24th November for 2 weeks 11am – 5pm. More details to follow.
In the meantime, please do get in touch if you would like to commission any jewellery for a special gift or to treat yourself.
